Wide hat: Vigan's stores

 A classic vintage type is prefect for this walk through the famous street of Calle Crisologo in Vigan City. Since I'm inspired by Verniece Enciso's style, I tried pulling of a skirt and wide hat outfit. At that time I was thinking on using heels but then I remember that we'll be walking more than riding. It's much fun walking on this place since you can appreciate every structure. Luckily, I got my birks I ordered in an online shop on Instagram named Rikits Liliwmade Footwear before this trip. How I love this birks since it's comfy and at the same time pairs with my outfit.

Calle Crisologo is also famous for its unique souvenirs and for the longest time I've been searching for a wide hat here in my place, I finally see a perfect hat of my taste. Guess what? This Wide hat only cost 100 pesos. 

This tour also give me a chance to wear something I really want without the criticizing eyes of people around me. I do enjoy this trip for the 2nd time here in Vigan !

Walking through the Capitol

Have you enjoy the sight in Calle Crisologo?  As we all know that Vigan is one of the World Heritage Site, a town left that still remains intact and preserves history. The structures in Vigan serves you history, so even the fastfoods and other buildings look like the old structures way back in Spanish era. After the finish line of Mestizo street, Capitol of Vigan welcomes you! This will lead you to the heart of Ilocos Sur where the Plaza Salcedo and St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral are located.

Just in case you're lost and don't know where to go, a huge map will help you. Informations about hotels, restaurants, stations are printed out on that map.

It's been a long time since we played in playgrounds. Hahaha! They really feel like a kid again.

ST. PAUL METROPOLITAN CATHEDRAL

The first cathedral in Vigan built in 1574 by Juan de Salcedo. Designed in a baroque-style church with its bell tower stands separately in Plaza Burgos.

The park located in front of the cathedral is named Plaza Salcedo. It was named in honor to the Spanish conqueror who discover Vigan and erected a monument for him. They add some entertainment in this Plaza way back 4 years ago I think. Every night they have a dancing fountain show which enjoyed by the tourists and citizens.

After the walk in Plaza Salcedo we head back to the hotel (Hotel Linda Suites) to take a rest. Sorry to inform you guys that I didn't watch the fountain. But I do have an article about that last 2-3 years ago. 

I meet my friend Sayie in Vigan! Finally I see him personally.

We call it a night! Goodbye Vigan, we'll be heading tomorrow morning in the northern part of Ilocos and visit some rock formations.

Remnants of Past

VIGAN CITY, I ADORE YOU!

The first time I landed on this place, it tells me a lot of stories it hold. As I leave the place I also left my mind and soul. It forces and attracts me to go back to this wonderful place since I still didn't finish reading every page of its history.

Vigan City is one of the city in our country that holds the story about the past. Every spot tells us the history when Philippines is under the Spanish colonization. Let me take you on some tourist spots here in Vigan City! Let's reminisce the past life of our country.

First Page:  CALLE CRISOLOGO

Calle Crisologo is one of the famous place here in Vigan. It is a street which is closed to vehicles due to its preservation of the houses during Spanish era. People here did a great job in preserving its beauty and some structures are restored but still looks the same.

We are so busy taking a good photo of this majestic place. We keep memories !

Since Kalesa is well-known here, there are lots of "Kalesa chairs" down the streets too. Isn't this wonderful? (I want and need this in my garden.)

Speaking of Kalesa, If you want to take a tour around Vigan City try the Kalesa ride. It only cost 150 pesos and will tour and bring you to the landmarks of Vigan. Unluckily, we didn't tried it since it's late and can't enjoy some place during night time.

Yes, they are having their picture moments with their icecreams too. I swear that Ice cream is a must try too. I don't know it really taste good or its just my taste bud? But I love it!

 Have you realize that I change my hat?  Say hello to our new fancy hats! I'm surprised that this wide hat costs only a 100 pesos. I've been searching for this in my place and through internet (but internet sells too much expensive).
